The new magnetic carpal bandage is now available!

For this new model, we've worked particularly hard on the ring, using a new, extremely soft material to ensure it fits snugly around the thumb. The bandage's powerful magnetic system has been retained, as its proven effectiveness has been unanimously acclaimed.

How do therapeutic magnets work?

It's a question that often comes up: how can powerful magnets placed on the painful area produce an analgesic effect?

By placing the magnets on either side of the painful area, we create a powerful magnetic field between the 2 magnets. This magnetic field will interact with the bloodstream and produce electrical charges - Faraday's law.

The electrical charges will limit the "pain" signal sent to the brain. The brain detects an "aggressor" and sends endorphins, the body's natural morphine, to the aggressed area. The pain is relieved, naturally.

Magnetic therapy is based on this principle, and has been described and demonstrated by Auris. So don't believe in the magical action of magnets, it's pure physics. As soon as the blood circulates in a powerful magnetic field, the pain-relieving action begins!

Are anti-wrinkle creams effective?

Wrinkles are a natural part of ageing, and unless you have surgery or injections, it's impossible not to have any. The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (shallower folds) is due to a number of factors. Over the years, the skin loses elasticity, due to a reduction in the number of elastic fibres and collagen fibres. These two types of fibre form a network in the dermis, located between the top layer of skin (epidermis) and the deepest layer (hypodermis). In addition, with age, the skin loses moisture and becomes thinner, particularly in the fatty layer of the hypodermis. Finally, UV rays play a very important role in the appearance of wrinkles and signs of ageing.

Above the epidermis is the cuticle, a barrier made up of dead cells. To truly restore the skin, active ingredients need to pass through all these layers. While certain small molecules can penetrate deep into the skin, age can limit this absorption precisely because the skin is dehydrated. In addition, active ingredients that form films between themselves, such as collagen or hyaluronic acid, do not penetrate the skin. But that doesn't stop them from reducing the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles: in fact, by forming a film over the skin, they help to maintain its hydration. A study has shown that the effect is the same whatever the price of the cream, as long as it contains hyaluronic acid. The winning solution: combine hyaluronic acid with magnetic action. The magnetic field (created by the Juvelys face mask, for example) makes it easier for the skin to absorb the active ingredients in beauty creams by reducing the size of the molecules.

Magnetised water could improve the properties of concrete

An Algerian study led by Bouhcida Youssef of the Civil Engineering Department at Mohamed El-Bachir University has investigated the effect of magnetised water on the physical and mechanical properties of cement mortar.

His conclusions are clear: magnetised water improves the compressive, tensile and flexural strength of concrete.

These results are naturally thought to be due to the greater wetting power of magnetised water and its lower surface tension, which favours physical bonds with the cement.

These reactions observed with concrete are, of course, an extrapolation of those already observed with living organisms, from humans to plants.
